Lisa is the dreamer behind SoulShine Yoga. She has been an elementary school teacher for the last 15 years, and has always had a passion for working with and serving people of all ages. She has a special love for working with both children and older adults.
Lisa fell in love with yoga after trying it for the first time fresh out of high school, and she has been in love with the practice ever since...about 20 years now! She recently decided to delve deeper into her practice and completed a 200 hour teacher training certification. It was early in this training that she and her husband decided to take a leap of faith and open SoulShine Yoga. They are so happy they did!
Steve started his yoga journey as a student in 2008. What originally started as looking for other options to stay in shape, Steve soon started attending classes weekly and found that yoga was the answer.
With a desire to continue his growth, Steve began his journey towards understanding the history of yoga, as well as the mystical side of the practice. Steve attended the Temple of Kriya yoga and became a certified yoga instructor in May of 2014.
Steve's teaching style is based on B.K.S. Iyengar and instructor Kim Swartz. The movements are slow and precise, and concentrate on alignment. The goal is to become aware of the breath and strive to find the peace within each pose.
Steve is married to Carie and has three children, Shay, Kyle, and Logan.
It is Steve's passion and joy to share the experience and benefits of yoga with you!
Stacy's passion for spiritual development led her down many different pathways, eventually dropping her off at the door of a yoga studio. Her love for the practice was instantaneous. Even she could not have imagined how intensely that passion would grow. She became a certified yoga instructor in 2015 to spread her joy of yoga with others.
For Stacy, yoga is much more than a physical practice. It is coming home. It is the place you go to find the light within...the true essence of you...so you can lead your life from that place of integrity.
Stacy's teaching style will encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone whether that means expanding your practice by trying new postures or slowing your flow down as you move into stillness. She believes we each have our own perfect practice that will help us find quiet peace deep within and allow it to flourish.
Stacy's experience has taught her how important it is to nurture your soul, accept times of discomfort, and recognize that sometimes, the pathway to a better life is only through taking risks and changing how we discover our own strength, stability, and grace. For her, the best place to begin that journey is on a yoga mat.
While working in the corporate world, Ericka lived a common lifestyle filled with long work days, processed foods, alcohol, stress, emotional imbalance and chronic health problems. She had no idea how much life would begin to change after her first yoga class. Captivated by something which she knew nothing about, Ericka listened to her body and took a leap of faith far away from corporate America.
Fast forward several years...Ericka is committed to the integrative practices responsible for alleviating her chronic pain, stresses and G.I. problems. She is a licensed massage therapist (since 2009) and currently a full-time nursing student. Ericka continues to interweave yoga, Ayurveda, herbs, meditation and prayer into her daily life.
As a certified yoga teacher since 2010, her mission is to support both non-flexible and flexible people of all ages and all body types to reclaim their natural state of being. Ericka says that whether you have been practicing for years or have never even tried downward dog, you can learn to move toward a state of yoga with a sustainable practice.
Ericka teaches a foundation of basic physical postures (Yoga Asana) to help empower you to live a vibrant life. Join Ericka as she introduces you to your most important teacher, your breath.
Tanya has been teaching yoga since 2008. Both fitness and health have always been a focus in her life. She was a personal trainer for several years, but as she says, when she found yoga, she found home. The physicality of the practice and the calming of the mind while practicing immediately made sense to her.
Tanya's teaching style asks you to discover your courage; we don’t create courage, it is already there, we just uncover it, stretch our courage muscles and watch ourselves grow! For some that means attempting an inversion or the courage to be creative in your Vinyasa flow, and for others it means becoming okay in stillness. How we feel when we hit the pause button can take courage!
Tanya is passionate, because in her experience it is when we become brave in our choices that the world opens to us. She flexes her bravery muscles while rock and ice climbing, playing upside down on aerial silks and traveling to foreign places.
Tanya has two boys that are 13 and 19.
